What is it?
During the intake, we take the time to get to know each other andand discuss your oral health needs.
We listen to your wishes and discuss how we can best help you.
After the intake, you should have a clear idea of who we are and what we can do for you.
When do I need this treatment?
Your first visit with us is always an intake, after that, it won’t be needed again.
What can I expect from the treatment?
An intake takes approximately 40 minutes. During this time, we do the following:
1. Starting Your Care Journey at LACH
We ask a variety of questions to get to know you.
We explore your oral habits, lifestyle, your wishes and dental history.
Together, we set your long-term goal - your care objective.
We perform an oral examination.
We discuss our findings and what is needed to achieve your goals and/or wishes.
2. Additional diagnostics
If recent X-rays are available, we'll review them. If not, we'll take new ones after after discussing it with you if necessary.
In more complex medical situations, we go into further detail. If needed, we may gather additional information or consult with your doctor(s), with your consent.
All of this gives us a general view of your oral health. Based on this, we assess the risks and advise you accordingly.
What are the costs?
The base fee for an intake at LACH is €58. This includes everything listed under point one. Additional diagnostics under point two apply extra costs, such as:
Taking and assessing a small X-ray: €22 each
Taking and assessing a jaw overview X-ray: €91
Intake costs for children (up to 18 years old) are fully covered by health insurance.

Background information on costs
In dental care, we work with fixed rates established annually by the Dutch Healthcare Authority. This is a list of codes and descriptions that represent various components of a treatment.
The cost of a treatment is the sum of the various components. These components all have a fixed maximum rate.
